Give a little

This year for the first time I gave Christmas cards to all of my coworkers. I decided it was something I wanted to do. I thought it was going to be a lot of work, but actually it wasn't. I signed all the cards and addressed them one Sunday evening as I watched tv. So, I didn't have to give up any time. I had them done and on my desk Friday, but I didn't put them in mailboxes until Friday morning. I have received so many thank-you's. And they seem really genuine. I wasn't aware that one co-worker doesn't celebrate Christmas due to his religion, but he was still happy about the card. Another co-worker today told me that it lifted her spirits. That was really a blessing to me to know what I considered to be a simple thought meant so much to someone i barely talk to. (Yes, I ended the sentence with a preposition). I will definitely do it again and I will look for ways to brighten others everyday and not just during the holidays.
