Almost two weeks ago, Rodney and I observed 3 years of being married. The third anniversary is the leather anniversary. Apparently, it is during this time that you test the strength and durability of your marriage. I must say that this was a tough year. We had a second child in addition to a know-it-all toddler, I changed jobs, Rodney got a promotion, and he is also finishing up his last semester of classes and working an internship. Stress doesn't begin to describe what we've been through.
In spite of everything, I am glad that we are still together. We have been together for 6 years now. The two of us have definitely grown and we make each other better people. My son said that being with someone forever doesn't sound like fun. Sometimes, it's not fun. But do I think being with Rodney is worth all of the trials that come with relationships? Of course!
